Crit Feedback

I just took the BSL stuff with me to crit today, since I had just started putting stuff together for it and wanted to get some thorough feedback. Other work I have already had chance to get feedback on and haven't really developed it as much as I would have liked since then, so I would have probably just got the same feedback. The crit was useful to help clarify a few initial points to do with this though.

In particular I wanted to know about the format/stand. Feedback suggested that it work in terms of being able to stand it up but I need to look at other formats still. Maybe provide a more discrete option? How can I link it to other office materials to support it?
This also made me think about how people are actually going to use this and when? It's perhaps a good tool to flick through but when do people have the time to do this?! Maybe if it included something else so that it would be used?
A space for addresses/phone numbers? As part of a diary? or phone book? (maybe in addition to).
In terms of how it works this also needs to be looked into further. People liked the tabbing but I'm thinking if it was on the side rather than the bottom then tabs could be accessed even when they were flipped over.

**Some learners might actively WANT to learn, others might do it through repetition/recognition**

We had a discussion about this and some other things came from it.

Making the base of the desktop format narrower, too wide at the moment, takes up too much space.
Developing across web or into an app. Can be interactive, actually forming the signs?
Do the designs and schematics for this.
Perhaps make the line weight thicker.
See the printers across from the Library for ring binding.
Consider laminating the sheets/prevent from being ruined by spillages.
